Tolyltriazole (TTA) is a highly effective metal corrosion inhibitor primarily used for the protection of copper, silver, zinc, lead, nickel, and their alloys. It is a mixture of 4-methyl-benzotriazole and 5-methyl-benzotriazole, supplied as a white granular solid or powder with excellent chemical stability.

Tolyltriazole forms a strong protective film on metal surfaces, significantly reducing corrosion in closed-loop cooling water systems, lubricants, antirust oils, and automotive antifreeze formulations. It is especially effective when used in combination with biocides or algaecides in circulating water systems.

• Properties: Tolyltriazole (TTA) is a white granule or powder. Tolyltriazole is a mixture of 4-methyl-benzotriazole and 5-methyl-benzotriazole. Its melting point is from 80℃ to 86℃, soluble in alcohol, benzene、 toluene、 chloroform, and watery lye, and hardly soluble in water.
