1,2,3-Benzotriazole (BTA) is an effective and widely used corrosion inhibitor for copper and copper alloys. Supplied as white needle-shaped crystals, BTA forms a stable and protective adsorption film on metal surfaces, significantly reducing corrosion in industrial water systems and functional fluids.
BTA is extensively applied in cooling water treatment, antifreeze formulations, and as an antioxidant additive in lubricating oil, hydraulic oil, brake fluid, and transformer oil. In addition, benzotriazole is used as a water stabilizer, emulsifier, and a functional additive in polymers to enhance UV resistance and antistatic performance.
