Key Benefits & Performance

  • Elite Scale Inhibition: Effectively prevents the formation of calcium carbonate, calcium sulfate, and magnesium scales even at high temperatures.
  • Superior Chelation: Acts as a powerful sequestering agent, binding with metal ions (Fe, Cu, Zn) to prevent deposition and staining.
  • Chemical Stability: Remains stable in harsh chemical environments, including high pH and thermal stress (common in boilers and oilfields).
  • Synergistic Effects: Works excellently when compounded with polycarboxylic acids or organophosphonates for all-in-one water treatment solutions.

Target Industries & Applications

  • Water Treatment Industry: Critical for cooling towers, boilers, and heat exchangers to maintain thermal efficiency and reduce blowdown frequency.

  • Oil & Gas Sector: Used in oilfield water injection and production pipelines to control severe scaling and corrosion in drilling equipment.
  • Textile & Dyeing: Stabilizes bleaching agents and controls metal ions to ensure consistent fabric color and quality.
  • Industrial Cleaning: Enhances the efficacy of specialized detergents and metal surface treatment agents.
  • Agriculture: Serves as a micronutrient chelator to improve plant nutrient uptake and crop yield.

Instructions for Use of ATMP (Amino Trimethylene Phosphonic Acid):

ATMP is often compounded with other organic phosphonic acid, polycarboxylic acid or salt to form an organic water treatment agent, which is used in circulating cooling water system under different water quality conditions.

  1. Dilution: Dilute ATMP with water to achieve the desired concentration based on the specific application requirements.
  2. Water Treatment: For general water treatment purposes, add ATMP to the water system at a dosage of 1-20mg/L. This dosage range helps prevent scale formation and maintain system efficiency. Adjust the dosage based on the severity of scale deposition and water quality.
  3. Corrosion Inhibition: If using ATMP as a corrosion inhibitor, add it to the water system at a dosage of 20-60mg/L. This dosage helps protect equipment from corrosion and extend its lifespan. Adjust the dosage based on the level of corrosion risk and system conditions.
  4. Compatibility: Ensure compatibility with other chemicals in the system by conducting compatibility tests or consulting technical specifications. Avoid mixing ATMP with strong oxidizing agents or cationic compounds, as they may reduce its effectiveness.

Safety Precautions:

As ATMP is an acidic substance, it is important to observe proper safety measures during handling.

  1. Personal Protective Equipment: Wear appropriate personal protective equipment, such as gloves and safety goggles, to prevent skin and eye contact.
  2. Avoid Contact: Avoid any direct contact with it. In case of accidental contact, promptly rinse the affected area with a generous amount of clean water for at least 15 minutes. Seek medical attention if irritation persists.
  3. Ventilation: Ensure proper ventilation in the working area to minimize exposure to ATMP fumes or vapors.
  4. Handling and Spills: Handle ATMP with care to avoid spills. In case of a spill, contain and clean it up promptly using suitable inert absorbent materials. Dispose of the waste properly according to applicable regulations.

Packaging and Storage:

  • ATMP Liquid: The liquid is packaged in plastic drums with a capacity of either 25L or 200L per drum, IBC (1000L) Additionally, custom packaging options are available to accommodate specific requirements.
  • ATMP Solid: Packaged in plastic woven bags lined with polyethylene, with a net weight of 25 kg per bag or 1000 kg per bag. The packaging can also be customized based on customer requirements.
  • Storage: Store in a cool, well-ventilated area indoors, away from direct sunlight and moisture. It is recommended to keep it in a dry environment to prevent degradation. The recommended storage period is twelve months.
