Polyepoxysuccinic Acid (PESA) is a high-performance, biodegradable, phosphorus-free and nitrogen-free water-soluble polymer widely used as a scale inhibitor, dispersant, and chelating agent in industrial water treatment systems.

PESA provides excellent inhibition against calcium carbonate, calcium sulfate, barium sulfate, strontium sulfate, calcium fluoride, and silica scale. It performs especially well under high alkalinity, high hardness, and high pH operating conditions, making it an ideal solution for cooling water, boiler treatment, and membrane systems.

How to Use PESA

PESA is suitable for oilfield water injection, boiler treatment, cooling water systems, seawater desalination, membrane separation, and detergent formulations.

It is especially recommended for systems operating under high alkalinity, high hardness, high pH, and high concentration cycle conditions.

For a zero-phosphorus water treatment solution, PESA can be combined with PASP and biodegradable biocides to meet stricter environmental standards.

Recommended Dosage

• Water Treatment: 10 – 30 mg/L
• As Dispersant: 0.5% – 3.0%
• Final dosage: Based on water quality and lab testing

Compatibility Notice

Since PESA is an anionic polymer, it should not be used together with cationic chemical additives unless compatibility testing has been completed.
